How do we move to an emissions free future ?

Enter the AR Hydrogen engine, a groundbreaking innovation that combines the best features of rotary and reciprocating piston engine designs. Operating on the four-stroke per one cycle principle, it offers a powerful and efficient solution. With ported intake and exhaust inspired by the rotary engine and piston scavenging from the four-stroke engine, it delivers exceptional performance. As a viable alternative to electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology, it offers several advantages. Not only is it relatively simple and lightweight, meaning it will be cheap to manufacture, but with the future large-scale production of hydrogen, it will also become inexpensive to run.

 Features of the AR Hydrogen Engine;

  • Compact and Lightweight: Designed to be sleek and efficient, our engine is compact and lightweight, enabling easier integration into various applications.
  • High Power-to-Weight Ratio: Despite its compact size, the AR hydrogen engine boasts a high power-to-weight ratio, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Minimal Parts: With fewer than 60 parts in total, our engine simplifies the manufacturing process, reducing costs and improving reliability.
  • Low Carbon Footprint: By utilizing hydrogen as a fuel source, our engine significantly reduces carbon emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment, coupled with low manufacturing carbon footprint due to simple design and low part count.
  • Hydrogen Compatibility: Unlike conventional engines, our design is specifically engineered to be fuelled by hydrogen, leveraging its numerous benefits.

Recognitions and Collaborations: The Journey of AR Engines:

Originally conceived by marine engineer Anthony Wondergem, the fourth prototype of our engine received a gold medal at the prestigious Geneva Inventors Fair. Building on this success, AR ENGINES has now partnered with Queensland University of Technology to further develop this technology, specifically to be fuelled by hydrogen. We have planned multiple trials of different-sized engines, starting with stationary applications and eventually moving towards automotive engines.
